Menopause

Menopause, Fascia and the Changing Body

Menopause isn’t just hormonal — it’s a full-body transition.

One of the biggest shifts I see in clinic is in the connective tissue.

Fascia becomes more dehydrated, less elastic, and slower to recover. The body often needs longer to warm up, more time to settle, and a different kind of support altogether.

This is where many women start to feel:

  • stiffer

  • more reactive to stress

  • slower to bounce back

  • or like their body is no longer responding to the treatments or training that used to work

It’s not in your head.

Your body has changed — and it needs to be met differently.

How My Work May Support You

My approach shifts away from force and toward listening.

Using a combination of myofascial release and craniosacral therapy, I work with your nervous system and connective tissue to:

  • restore hydration and glide through the fascia

  • reduce pain and protective tension patterns

  • support better breathing, especially through the ribs and diaphragm

  • calm an overactive or sensitive nervous system

  • help your body feel safe again

This isn’t about pushing through or “fixing” you.

It’s about creating the conditions where your body can reset, reorganise, and respond more easily again.

A Different Way of Working With Your Body

Many women tell me:

“What used to work… just doesn’t anymore.”

That’s because menopause asks for a shift from

  • force → to responsiveness

  • intensity → to precision

  • doing more → to doing what actually works

This work supports that transition.

Who This Is For

This may be right for you if:

  • your body feels more sensitive or reactive than it used to

  • you’re experiencing persistent tightness, especially in the back, ribs, or jaw

  • you feel wired, tired, or unable to fully relax

  • you want a deeper, more sustainable way of supporting your body

  • you realise your current treatments aren’t quite working anymore

This is about working with your body — not against it.

Much of this work has evolved through my own experience of menopause — my body is my first case study. I’m my own living, breathing experiment – I 100% get it.

For many women, how you move becomes just as important as how your body is treated. You can read more about this HERE
